Festive Lights of Blenheim

DAY 1

We arrive in Swindon and transfer by coach to our hotel set in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside and, once we have checked in, we will enjoy our first evening meal together.

DAY 2

After a leisurely morning exploring our charming tour base, we journey by coach to Blenheim Palace, a stunning country estate located in the picturesque county of Oxfordshire. After exploring this fantastic palace, we will discover the Festive Light Trail following the illuminated path through the palace's gardens to witness the dazzling light display, colourful Cascades, and enchanting arches.

DAY 3

After breakfast this morning, we travel by rail to the charming city of Bath and make our way to the historic Roman Baths. We will explore the complex, walk on original Roman pavements, and learn the history of the people of Roman Britain who came to bathe in the waters of the natural thermal springs, which still flow hot today! We will also visit the Bath Christmas Market soaking in the festive atmosphere before returning for our evening meal at the hotel.

DAY 4

This morning, after breakfast, we board our train to Gloucester for our guided tour of Gloucester Cathedral which is known for its stunning Gothic architecture and beautiful stained-glass windows. We will learn about the fascinating world of the monks who used to live here, visit the tomb of King Edward II, and see how architecture has evolved over the years. We enjoy free time to visit our second Christmas Market with a fabulous range of festive gifts, food, and drink - the perfect place to find unique Christmas presents. On return to our hotel, we enjoy our final evening meal together.

DAY 5

Bidding farewell to beautiful Swindon, we make our way homeward.
