Holland is famous for being the world's largest flower garden and a trip to the colourful Keukenhof in spring time is an experience that is not to be missed! The Netherlands offers so much more than tulips and the country's unique landscape is ideal to discover by steam train. There are so many sites to see including classic windmills, fascinating museums including Anne Frank's House and Utrecht Railway Museum, traditional cheese markets and many historic towns with stunning architecture.
Railtrail's popular Holland tour features the incomparable bulbs in bloom at Keukenhof Gardens, plus the historic steam train from Hoorn to Medemblik. Not forgetting a day in Amsterdam with canal trip and we also stay in Alkmaar to coincide with their cheese market! We then sneak in some extra steam at Goes-Borsele, whilst staying at the oldest hotel in the Netherlands.
