Harrogate Christmas Celebration

DAY 1

Arriving in Harrogate, we make our way to the Crowne Plaza Hotel, located in the centre of the delightful spa town. After we have checked in and enjoyed a welcome tea or coffee, we have free time to relax or explore our surroundings prior to dinner followed by a festive quiz and music from a local choir.

DAY 2

Christmas Eve
Today we travel to the medieval walled city of York by train where we enjoy the day at leisure to explore the city's hidden gems and iconic historic buildings, including the impressive York Minster. We can enjoy a mulled wine and take a stroll around preserved medieval streets of The Shambles, perfect for last minute Christmas shopping! In the afternoon we journey back to Harrogate by train and enjoy our evening meal followed by festive bingo.

DAY 3

Christmas Day
Merry Christmas! A day of relaxation and fine food awaits us today. After a leisurely breakfast, the morning is free to relax in the comfort of our hotel or we can get out in the fresh air and explore the magical atmosphere of Harrogate with its magnificent architecture dressed in festive finery. We enjoy a wonderful traditional Christmas lunch followed by sherry & Christmas cake and can watch the King's speech and a festive movie in the afternoon. In the evening we enjoy a light buffet dinner.

DAY 4

Boxing Day
This morning, after a hearty breakfast, we transfer by private coach to Keighley. Here we meet our guide and board the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway for a steam train journey through stunning Yorkshire winter scenery, complete with delicious mince pies. Following our delightful railway journey, we return to Harrogate by coach and enjoy a soup & sandwich lunch at our hotel. The afternoon is then free to relax or explore the Boxing Day sales in Harrogate before our dinner followed live musical entertainment.

DAY 5

We bid farewell to wonderful Harrogate and Yorkshire as we make our way homeward.
