DAY 1
We arrive in Manchester where our hotel is conveniently situated near the railway station. In the afternoon we can take a stroll through Piccadilly Gardens before our first evening meal together.
DDAY 2
After a leisurely morning, we journey by coach to East Lancashire Railway for our festive dining experience. We will enjoy a sumptuous three course meal on board the festively decorated carriages while being steam hauled through the picturesque Irwell Valley. Coffee and after dinner chocolate completes our relaxing afternoon before returning to our hotel.
B, LDAY 3
After breakfast, we enjoy free time to explore the vibrant city of Manchester. Get into the festive spirit with a visit to the famous Manchester Christmas Market with over 200 wooden stalls offering fantastic festive treats, gifts, and decorations. We will reconvene at the hotel to board our coach to Dunham Massey where we will experience their Festive Light Trail featuring masses of twinkling light, tunnels of stars, dancing lights, and giant, glowing deer.
BDAY 4
This morning, after breakfast, we board our train to Liverpool to discover the historic and celebrated sights of this fascinating city using our included hop-on/hop-off bus ticket. We enjoy our second Christmas Market exploring the traditional timber stalls full of festive crafts and gifts plus a brilliant selection of warming, festive food and drink. On return to our hotel, we enjoy our final evening meal together.
B, DDAY 5
We bid farewell to Manchester as we make our way homeward full of festive spirit.
