DAY 1

Relive halcyon childhood holidays, as you travel the route of the old “Cornish Riviera Express”, clinging to the sea wall at Dawlish before crossing Brunel’s mighty bridge into Cornwall and onto Truro and our transfer to the renowned Falmouth Beach Hotel. (D)

DAY 2

A day of gentle roaming by rail as we head west on the Cornish mainline to Penzance for sightseeing and views of St. Michael’s Mount, before taking the spectacular branch line journey to the pretty harbour resort of St Ives; this famous resort has it all: cobbled streets full of history, pretty fisherman's cottages, beautiful creations craft shops to stunning art in the Tate exhibitions. (B,D)

DAY 3

Today we board our lovingly restored classic coach, a real head turner, and at a sedate pace venture into the heartland of Cornwall meandering along country lanes to the hidden gem that is Trerice manor house, then view a falconry display, and finally enjoy a tour of a working cider farm including a glass of cider, and afternoon tea Cornish style. (B,T,D)

DAY 4

Back on the rails, we travel by train to Bodmin for a wonderful journey of nostalgia on the Bodmin & Wenford steam railway, a time-capsule of yesteryear train travel. Then continue along the mainline to Liskeard and change trains to trundle along one of the prettiest rural branch lines in Britain, twisting, turning and hugging the riverside to the estuary at Looe where after a break for a little sightseeing on the banjo pier we return by train to Falmouth. (B,D)

DAY 5

A free day to enjoy the delights of Falmouth, including Gyllyngvase beach and gardens adjacent to the hotel. Perhaps take a cruise up river or across the estuary to St Mawes, discover Pendennis castle’s secret wartime tunnels, or just stroll around the town and its magnificent Maritime Museum. (B,D)

DAY 6

After breakfast its time to bid farewell to the excellent Flamouth Beach hotel and board our classic coach for the final time for the short journey to Truro and express train to homeward stations. (B)
