DAY 1

Re-live the days of the Cornish Riviera express with the most scenic of rail journeys along the shoreline of the Exe estuary, past Dawlish and over the world famous Tamar Bridge into Cornwall. Continuing high above the river estuaries we arrive at the cathedral city of Truro, meet our Tour Manager and transfer to our tour base at the Falmouth Beach Hotel. (D)

DAY 2

Travelling by train along the spine of Cornwall to enjoy the most spectacular seascapes on the branch line to St Ives. Our afternoon vintage coach tour takes in the view at the country’s extreme Lands End, before discovering the secret history of submarine telegraph at the scenic cliff tops of Porthcurno. (B,D)

DAY 3

A wonderful day visiting Pendennis Castle and its secret wartime tunnels before cruising across the River Fal to spend time in the pretty harbour-side village of St Mawes, where Poldark was filmed. We then meander by vintage coach on to the treasure trove of delight that is Charlestown Shipwreck & Heritage Centre. (B,D)

DAY 4

Our day of curiosity commences at Trevarno with the soap factory, national museum of gardening, vintage toy museum, homemade organic skin care, honeybee centre and the making of copper fountains! We then delve into the mysteries of the universe at Earth Station Goonhilly, the oldest satellite tracking station in the world. Finally, set on the picturesque reaches of the Helford Estuary, we visit the seals and otters at the National Seal Sanctuary. (B,D)

DAY 5

After a leisurely breakfast our classic coach conveys us to Truro station for our train journeys to homeward destinations, and the opportunity to reflect on a truly enthralling and enchanting tour of Cornwall that was delightfully different. (B)
