DAY 1 Travelling in style by early afternoon Eurostar to Paris with a champagne lunch served to your First Class seat and our conveniently-located hotel adjacent to Terminus Nord. Tonight we enjoy Paris from the Seine aboard a candlelit scenic river cruise, complete with on-board evening meal – a truly wonderful start to this spectacular holiday (L,D) DAY 2 A day free to relax and enjoy Paris at leisure with the bonus of a freedom day rover ticket for the open top sightseeing buses with guided commentary; hop on and off wherever you wish. We have left tonight free for you to enjoy a meal at leisure in a restaurant of your choice (B) DAY 3 Travelling First Class by high speed TGV train from Paris to Basle and onwards to idyllic Interlaken situated betwixt two beautiful lakes in the heart of the Bernese Oberland. Here we have a welcoming evening meal at our hotel, the 5 star Beau Rivage. (B,D) DAY 4 A day to relax in the tranquillity of Interlaken surrounded by the grand Alpine heart of Switzerland, a massively impressive region of classic Swiss scenery – high peaks, sheer valleys and cool lakes. You may use your First Class Swiss Pass to travel the scenic narrow-gauge railways, or take a lake cruise on the top decks to pretty alpine villages – all at no additional cost; your Tour Manager will happily advise you. If it’s a clear day use your Swiss Pass to obtain a discounted rate and take the Jungfrau Mountain Railway to the ‘Top of Europe’, or travel by train and cable car to the summit of Schilthorn, the James Bond mountain. We leave this evening free for you to dine at leisure in Interlaken. (B) DAY 5 Whilst your luggage is transferred ahead, we board the world famous Glacier Express and enjoy an inclusive lunch in the pullman car of the slowest express train in the world. Imagine the comfort and excitement of travelling in your panoramic carriage whilst viewing the magnificent mountain scenery and alpine meadows on this spectacular train journey to Chur. (B,L,D) DAY 6 We believe we have saved the best till last as we take you on a scenic journey to rival the Glacier Express, spiralling through high mountain passes into Italy aboard the Bernina Express to Tirano and return. (B,D) DAY 7 Bidding farewell to the High Alps we speed in First Class comfort to Paris and onwards via Eurostar to London and homeward destinations.
