Customer Testimonials

“We have just returned from a most enjoyable trip, Magical Harz Steam, which was our first experience of travel with Railtrail Tours. We felt we ought to write to you to compliment you on the organisation and the efficiency with which everything ran. We also felt that both of the hotels we stayed at were excellent, particularly with regard to the food. As we say this was our first time with you and we look forward to travelling with you again.”

“I have just come back from doing your Poland, Harz and Saxony steam trip. I would just like to say what an excellent trip it was. I would also like to say thank you for the quickness and efficiency of everybody involved in sorting out the change of route going home at such short notice.”

Mr J., Bedfordshire

“Just had to say thanks for a very pleasant trip, really enjoyed it. For participants there are ‘photos and comments on the Behind the Water Tower website. Looking forward to possibly going on the Meiningen trip, should it be as good as in previous years.”

Mr W., Holyhead

“Thanks again for a wonderful tour. Your organising was again first class. The trains were spot on time and on my return I was able to catch an earlier connection and got home 2 hours earlier…Sue was her usual inimitable self…The one thing that disappointed a few of us was the fact that the bar did not sell bitter beer, either draught or bottled. When I queried it with the barman he told me the management would not order any…One again thanks for a great holiday and I’m looking forward to the Hebrides at the end of August…I am just writing to thank you for yet again another excellent holiday. The weather was perfect again (you must have a contact up above); The ferry crossings were like a millpond and the hotels excellent. The Royal Highland even had bitter beer this time (result). Graham was an excellent tour manager, but I could not wind him up like Sue… Anyway thanks again for a wonderful holiday and I look forward to the next one.”
